UDYOG Adhaar
Udyog Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number (UIN) given by the Indian Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
It’s also known as Aadhaar for business and MSME registration.
The Udyog Aadhaar program was launched in September 2015 to replace the earlier small scale industry (SSI) registration system and to simplify the registration process. The program aims to provide benefits and incentives to registered enterprises, such as:
- Eligibility for subsidies and incentives
- Access to loans
- Access to financial support for foreign expos
- Exclusive government subsidies
- Ability to apply for micro-business loans
- Reimbursement benefits for ISO certification
- Extended minimum alternate tax (MAT) credit
- Access to government contracts
