Destitute Deserted Woman Pension Scheme (DDWPS)
The Deserted Destitute Pension Scheme (DDWPS) is a state scheme in Tamil Nadu that provides financial assistance to destitute and deserted wives. The scheme’s goal is to give ₹1,000 to these women, as well as other benefits during Pongal and Deepavali. During these festivals, women receive a free saree and a nutritious meal from Anganwadi Centers
