No Objection certificate for ground water extract
A No Objection Certificate (NOC) for groundwater extraction is an official approval from the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) that is required for industries, infrastructure projects, and mining projects to extract groundwater. The NOC ensures that groundwater is extracted in compliance with the CGWA’s guidelines and established laws and regulations, and in a sustainable manner. Without a valid NOC, extracting groundwater for commercial use is illegal and may result in penalties such as fines and imprisonment.
