The Income and Assets Certificate, also known as the EWS certificate, is a document that proves eligibility for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category reservation. The certificate is issued by the local government authority, such as the Tehsil, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Collector, or CSCs. The government has not prescribed an online method for obtaining the certificate.

- Residential proof/Domicile Certificate
- Income and Assets Certificate
Some benefits of the EWS certificate include:
- Reservations for government jobs in central or state government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and autonomous bodies
- 10% reservation in colleges and universities under the unreserved category.
